What courses do you offer?
At present we offer the 8-week Beginners Professional Makeup Artistry Course. Other courses may be added in the future.
How much do your courses cost?
The cost for the 8-week Beginners Professional Makeup Artistry Course is $999.

Do I need to have any previous makeup experience to take this course?
Our 8-week Beginner Makeup Artistry course is designed to cater for the absolute beginner through to those with some experience or wishing to update their skills.
Do I need to bring anything with me to the class?
A notebook or paper, and pen. Water bottle. A passion for learning.
Is there a minimum age for enrolment?
Our minimum age for enrolment is 16. Parental or guardian consent is required if under 18.
What happens if I miss a class?
You are paying for a block course. No refunds are given for missed classes. You will be emailed theory notes. A quick recap can be given the following class, however as we have a lot of content to cover in a short period of time an opportunity will be given for you to attend the equivalent missed class in the next course intake.
Can I apply for a student loan for your courses?
Unfortunately student loans are not available for our course as we are not NZQA registered. We have two payment options as noted above.
Does this course have a recognised qualification?
The Dunedin School of Makeup Beginners Certificate in Professional Makeup Artistry is an in-house qualification which is not a nationally recognised Unit Standard, however it incorporates years of knowledge working in industry ensuring excellent standards of hygiene and service. It will serve you well gaining employment in the local Otago area.
